Whilst New Zealand experiences our first full week of lockdown we want to reiterate that the Trade Me Property team remains more committed than ever to help you navigate some of the major challenges presented by the Coronavirus pandemic.
Helping provide your Vendors with greater confidence when marketing their properties
Like other top real estate portals across the world, we saw an inevitable drop in audience traffic as NZ prepared for lockdown. However, we have seen a slight rebound in traffic and watchlist activity over the past weekend as consumers adapt to the new normal. Whilst interest in property is still below what we are used to, we continue to maintain an incredibly strong audience of over 430,000 prospective buyers and sellers actively looking at properties on our platform over the last week.*
Introducing new support measures to help your vendors
Last week we also launched new initiatives offering you the opportunity to re-list or re-upgrade listings on Trade Me Property for free. These are another great way for you to provide your vendors with the comfort of knowing they can continue advertising their home on Trade Me without risk. Learn more.
Addressing one of our industries biggest challenges - how can vendors sell a property they cannot show potential buyers?
Our current property market data shows no real change to the number of property listings being withdrawn from the market which is positive news. However, the ban on potential buyers physically attending auctions, open homes and private viewings has created one of the biggest challenges facing agents, buyers and sellers.
We have monitored a rapid growth of live streaming usage to address this problem, both overseas and amongst the top agents within NZ. As a result we have been working closely with the world’s market leader in real estate auction live streaming and bidding technology to bring their offering to NZ.
GAVL to launch new live stream service for open homes and private viewings
GAVL enables remote buyers to view live inspections of a property, place offers, and/or attend and bid at auction – all without leaving their home.
The latest solution will allow vendors themselves to conduct live-streamed open home inspections so interested parties can view their properties remotely and ask questions in real time .
If you are interested to find out more then contact GAVL here.
We are here to support you
And finally, just a reminder that whilst we may be working remotely we continue to be fully available and ready to help. Please don't hesitate to contact your account manager or call our Customer Service team on 0800 866 266 or email us email@example.com
